The Constitutional Court (MK), through MK Decision Number 137/PUU-XIII/2015, annulled the rules on the authority of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) to cancel local government regulations (Perdas).
The judicial review of Law No. 23/2014 on the authority of the Mendagri to revoke Perda was submitted by the Association of District Governments of Indonesia (Apkasi) and friends in 2015.
The main report in the April 2017 edition of the Indonesian Update is ” Who is Authorized to Cancel Local Government Regulations?”. On politics issues, it discusses ” Looking at the Implementation of the Second Round of the Jakarta Regional Elections”. On social affairs, it talks about ” Wisely Responding to Natural Disasters “.
